O'Grady Hits Historic Home Run
Friday, September 22nd, 2023
What a season to remember! Today Brian O'Grady established a new league mark for home runs in a season with 66. Talking to reporters after the record-breaking game at Space-X Field, O'Grady commented, "Wow! 66! That's a lot of homers! 66 homers in a season! I have just beaten the season record of Shannon Carter. Can you believe it? Now that was great ballplayer. I'm not as good as he was. He was one of the all-time greats. I don't put myself in his class, but it will be nice to have my name in the record book."

Brian O'Grady hit a solo-shot off Brian Dawson in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and homered off Ronnie Bullard in the 8th.

So far this year O'Grady is hitting .285 with 66 home runs.
Postseason Bid Ends for Green Bay
Friday, September 22nd, 2023
The Green Bay Blizzard may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in Union League Baseball. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today.

"I feel like we have a great group," Blizzard manager David Knight said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season."

The Blizzard have missed the playoffs 23 times in their 28 years as a Union League Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 14th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2009. Green Bay has won the Union Cup 2 times in their history.
